What SpotShare is
A free community tool that shares when on-street parking spaces become free. It is run on goodwill: you share when you leave, you look when you return.
A shared space is a tip from a neighbour, not a reservation. Someone else may take it first.
Parking rules are yours to follow
Permit zone information in the app is a guide. Always check the signs on the street. You are responsible for parking legally and for any penalty you receive.
SpotShare is not connected to Portsmouth City Council.
Be a good neighbour
Only share spaces that are real. Do not share a space to block someone or to send people to the wrong place.
Do not use SpotShare to watch or follow anyone.
Spaces reported as wrong three times are hidden. Repeated misuse means we remove your account.
Safety
Do not use the app while driving. Alerts are designed to be glanced at when stopped.
No guarantees
SpotShare is provided as is. Detection is automatic and will sometimes be wrong. We are not liable for a space being taken, a fine, or any loss from using the app.
Changes
We may change these terms. If the change matters, the app will ask you to agree again.
